Literature and translations share close connections. Translation gives the opportunity to learn about each other and learn from each other. In a country where people speak hundreds of languages, translation enables words and thoughts to travel through time and geographical boundaries. The aim is to synergize languages and give voice to women writers and their thoughts across nook and corner of the country. The Foundation’s Translation Series – is aimed at bringing feminist literature into Indian languages and is focused at empowering and improving the lives of women and to bolster the growth and prominence of several other small feminist publishing houses across the country. Nearly 40 books have been translated into various Indian languages.
